We were very pleased to host the Department for Energy Security and Net Zero team. Discussions covered LODES project progress, UK policy and future ambitions, both for SynchroStor and DESNZ. A highlight of the visit was witnessing the latest iteration of our compressor architecture operating at pressure & temperature – a major achievement for the team!
Exciting stage of synchrostor’s lodes
We've been busy doing detailed design on our LODES project. Now we're at the exciting stage of manufacture. Team members Chris Hannon and Carn Gibson visited CENA Interpipes and Ofar in Italy. SynchroStor's Energy Storage demonstrator uses a forged steel heat exchanger operating at both high pressure and high temperature.

synchrostor’s partnership with pm group
We are delighted to have engaged PM Group to develop the Basis of Design for a future commercial PTES plant, drawing on their know-how in process design & construction of industrial installations. We are working directly with Shane Pugh, Martin Conduit and their teams on our longer-term vision as well as design elements of our LODES programme.
pndc to kick off input to synchrostor’s LODES project
We were very pleased to meet Kyle Jennett, Callum Rae, Dr. Si Chen and Kathleen Goldie to kick off PNDC’s input to our LODES project and also for a tour of their impressive test facilities. In the first phase of work, PNDC will contribute in-depth market studies and grid modelling. This expertise will inform both our technical programme and market value proposition.
